We have posted the registration forms on the Registration Page at Simply go to the Registration Page and print out the form, fill it out and send it in! We will be hosting the reunion at the Holiday Inn Inner Harbor hotel in beautiful Baltimore, MD. As you know, The USCG Yards at Curtis Bay, MD was where the USCGC Unimak underwent all her yard availabilities and was the site of more than one Decom/Recom. Guests will be able to arrive on Thursday, April 24th, 2014, and we will be departing on Sunday April 27, 2014.  Like the last reunion, we have been given a special discounted rate on the rooms of $139.00 plus taxes and parking. The cost of parking on-site is $25.00 per night or $13.00 per night across the street. We are getting a block of 20 rooms for Thursday, 30 rooms for Friday, and 50 rooms for Saturday. Like last reunion, you will book your hotel reservations directly with Holiday Inn Inner Harbor. You can contact them directly at 1-800-HOLIDAY, or via the web at the Holiday Inn booking site at Please use the Group Code USC to receive the discounted rate. All hotel reservations must be received no later than 3:00 PM on Monday, March 24, 2014. After that date, any unsold rooms are turned back to the hotel for general sale. We have a reunion registration form for you on the Registration Page. You will need to print the 2014 Unimak Reunion Registration form and mail it to us. We will have a hospitality reception Friday night from 7:00 - 10:00 PM. We will have food and refreshments much like last reunion. We have left Saturday during the day open for you to spend the day touring and shopping in the beautiful historic Inner Harbor area of Baltimore. Saturday evening we will be hosting a cocktail hour from 6:00 - 7:00 PM. There will be a cash bar and Hors d’Oeurves. Then at 7:00 PM the formal festivities will commence in the ballroom. We will follow that with a delicious dinner buffet featuring Chicken Marsala, Beef Top Round, and Slow Baked Salmon. We are still looking into our options for the after dinner entertainment, but will post it once we get that all sorted out. We are also looking into having a guest speaker, but may opt to keep it informal. Below is a summary of the itinerary as it stands today:

3:00 PM: Thursday guests can arrive and check in to the beautiful Holiday Inn Inner Harbor. Like last year’s reunion, the hotel has given us a special discounted rate. The cost for the rooms is $139.00 per night plus taxes and parking. The cost of parking on-site is $25.00 per night or $13.00 per night across the street. There are no formal activities planned for Thursday evening however, you are sure to find some of your shipmates milling around in the hotels cocktail lounge.

Daytime: Open at this time. We are still looking into group activities such as a tour of The Baltimore Maritime Museum which includes the USCGC Taney, the USCGC Light Ship Chesapeake, the USS Constellation, Seven Foot Knoll Lighthouse, and the USS Torsk (submarine).

7:00 PM: Hospitality reception in the Ballroom. Like last year, light foods, cake and refreshments will be served. We will be holding raffles throughout the night. We will also have display table’s sets up so don’t forget to bring your Unimak memorabilia!

9:00 PM: End of formal reception. Continue sharing memories and sea stories in the hotel lounge.

We have left the day on Saturday open for you to enjoy the beautiful and historic city of Baltimore, MD. There are tons of great historical sites to see and plenty of shopping for the ladies. Don’t forget there is also beautiful Camden Yards baseball stadium. We won’t know if there are any home games scheduled until after the first of the year, but there is a baseball museum there to visit. Also Fort McHenry, Annapolis, or take the train into DC for the day!

6:00 PM: Cocktail hour begins. We will have a cash bar and Hors d’Oeurves.

7:00 PM: Opening ceremonies begin in the Ballroom. We will begin the evening with opening remarks, introduction of distinguished guests, and the presentation of the flags. That will be followed by the formal dinner and the menu is as follows:

Caesar Salad

Slow Baked Salmon, Crispy Capers, Lemon Mustard Vinaigrette

Beef Top Round

Chicken Marsalis

Accompaniments to include:

The cash bar will remain open for the evening. Following dinner we may have a guest speaker (TBD). Again we will be holding raffles with lots of fun prizes!

10:00 PM: Conclude the evening’s informal formal event. Adjourn to the hotels lounge to continue sharing memories and sea stories!

Sunday morning we will conclude our reunion and wish all our fellow Unimak veterans Fair Winds and Following Seas!
